sherry maddock

(M.S., Exercise Physiology – Wake Forest; M.A., Intercultural Studies – Asbury Theological Seminary)

Sherry has spent much of the last ten years working to serve refugees in Lexington and offer leadership to Communality, a small missional community located in downtown Lexington.  Her training in public health and mission studies has equipped her to both serve effectively and draw others into asking broader questions about poverty, culture, and God’s Kingdom.

geoff maddock

(M.A., Intercultural Studies – Asbury Theological Seminary)

Geoff came to Kentucky from Australia in 1998 to study at Asbury and quickly began working to help found Communality.  His experiences as ‘a foreigner in a strange land’ and his undergraduate honors work in social theory have equipped him to serve refugee and marginal populations respectively.  Along with others in Communality, Geoff has helped mentor ATS students through their supervised ministry requirements as well as serving Communality through pastoral care and teaching.
